Masonic Grand Lodge of Oregon: safe and accessible elections
Diversity and distances are no longer a problem
Voters presented very different levels of technological familiarity. Some navigated online platforms with ease, while others needed direct, step-by-step assistance to cast their secure vote. In addition, the geographic spread and the need to comply with legal requirements added complexity to the process. The team’s main concern was that less digitally experienced voters might struggle, jeopardizing participation and the validity of the elections. Thanks to Kuorum and its comprehensive support, all participants were able to vote easily and confidently, ensuring an inclusive and seamless election.
Another challenge was optimizing the economic and human resources of the lodge. They needed a system that didn’t require costly infrastructure or lengthy training, while still providing security and traceability for each vote. The goal was to strike a balance between accessible technology, support and legal compliance, so that voters could have a positive and stress-free experience, regardless of their level of digital familiarity.

Personalized support and inclusive technology
To address the challenges identified by the client, Kuorum designed a flexible voting plan:
- In-person: Tablets with QR and temporary credentials were provided so voters could register and cast their votes easily.
- Personalized support: Throughout the entire process, the Kuorum team was in direct contact, answering questions and ensuring no one got stuck.
- Training and accompaniment: Practical guidance was provided for the voting managers, showing step-by-step how to manage the ballot box, verify votes and assist voters.
Each voter was able to cast their vote with confidence thanks to a simple and secure identification process, with end-to-end encryption that guaranteed the privacy of each election.
Participation, security and satisfaction
All voters were able to cast their votes without any issues, even those with less digital experience. The combination of intuitive technology and human support ensured that no one was excluded from the process, always guaranteeing the security and privacy of the process. Votes were protected by advanced encryption, and the minutes were immutable and verifiable, complying with current regulations and ensuring total transparency in the event of any audit. Both in-person and online voting went smoothly and without complications. The Kuorum team resolved any doubts instantly, making voters feel accompanied and secure.
Thanks to the positive experience, they are now more actively encouraging digital participation in future elections and meetings, demonstrating that technology can be an ally to include all members, regardless of their level of digital literacy.
